I negotiated a contract with United Airlines to launch and publish a new Golf magazine to be placed on over 140,000 of their flights per issue. Making it the third largest read golf magazine in the world with its very first issue. This was done with no prior writing or publishing experience and only golfing 5 times in my life.
Created an unprecedented high speed visual motion analysis system that recorded from 4 cameras simultaneously. Instead of marketing for sales, I offered the equipment as a business opportunity, and it quickly got the attention of Small Business Opportunity Magazine and Entrepreneur Magazine. Entrepreneur Magazine listed it in their annual Franchise and Business Opportunities Start Up's special issue. The system was used by multiple Universities (including Notre Dame), High Schools, Little Leagues, PGA Instructors (including a National PGA Instructor of the Year) and more.
Negotiated and created relationships to launch the first licensed NASCAR online store without having an actual brick and mortar storefront. This provided me with a major advantage over the retail stores in multiple ways. Not only did I have no overhead (rent, employees, etc.) I was able to have the weekly new products posted on the website first thing Monday morning after Sunday’s race before most stores even opened and looked at the new product listings.
I launched an online store with over 1 Million products and hundreds of brand name manufacturers. I took a very unique approach at the time by separating product categories into individual stores. I then sold turn key drop ship websites by category as a business opportunity.
Took a struggling golf putter company and strategically developed it into one of the most well-known and prestigious companies in the industry. Using a strategic and unprecedented move of doubling the selling price of the golf putters to separate it from the competition and using creative branding techniques, it was quickly viewed as one of the most prestigious golf companies in the world and written about by every major golf magazine in the country.
While only golfing five times in my life, I identified the need for a new golf product. Using no advertising budget (to prove it could be done) Before launching the product, I presented it to golf industry experts and magazines. It immediately received the coveted “Top Ten Most Innovative and Beneficial Products in the Golf Industry” award given by the Professional Golf Teachers Association of America, beating out some of the golf industries largest and most established companies before selling the first product.
Received a patent on an unprecedented automobile emission reduction device lowering carbon emission from vehicles by over 99% at idle and 30% under driving conditions (as tested by an EPA approved emission testing facility) I also received a letter of recognition from the state Lt. Governor and was asked to be part of the state's Biofuels Working Group.
Gained incredible exposure for a Chicago area Counseling Center by developing a very unique approach to offering their services. I negotiated the usage of a commercial Boeing 737 at no charge to conduct an onboard Fear of Flying program. Media exposure with major newspapers and other outlets was secured at no charge. What makes this so incredible (besides getting it all done at no charge) was done after the heightened airport security guidelines were implemented after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack.
Created a national monthly fee-based membership program targeting senior adults, providing valuable information, benefits and data. Membership grew into the thousands within a few months.
Internet Phone Service
During the Internet’s infancy (dial up) I was brought on as a consultant for a struggling
Internet Service Provider (ISP) that had prematurely expanded to major markets around the country without the client base to support it. I quickly realized a potential solution to offer to rent the ISP equipment to telephone companies that were trying to get into the ISP business by using a roll over, hunt feature that would forward their internet customers when their own ISP equipment was overloaded to the ISP’s equipment in other parts of the country. An unprecedented idea that created millions of dollars in profits for the ISP.
Created and produced a National Singing Contests partnering with a Christian TV and Radio Station to promote the contest. The winner received a red-carpet style experience recording at one of the most respected recording studios in Nashville.
Water Filtration Industry
Developed a highly respected Residential Water Filtration Company with offices in Illinois and Indiana. This led to me writing my first book "What's in my Water?". I was quickly viewed as the industry expert on water quality and called upon by a major Chicagoland newspaper to review the findings of the Illinois Department of Health test results on Chicago Suburban water quality issues. I have spoken to medical professionals at Medical conferences on the subject of drinking water and contaminants.
Festival and Event
Stepped in to relaunch the 30-year running Chesterton Wizard of Oz Festival after it had been retired for 2 years and then moved it from Indiana to Illinois. After discussions with Warner Brothers Studios I signed their official spokesperson as the festival’s Master of Ceremonies. I then renamed the festival the "Midwest Wizard of Oz Festival". I eventually sold the festival to a large fall festival company.
Identified an unprecedented way to enhance service and client confidence for a manufacturing company by creating and launching a cutting-edge Web-based tool which established a virtual office for the client. This allowed clients to log into a secure area of the company's computer system and track start date, product runs and all aspects of their order, which is now a common element in the industry.
Financial Services Industry
Developed and owned 12 Financial Services offices around Chicagoland with over 200 Representatives and servicing Thousands of Clients.
Fundraising Industry personally
Created an unprecedented Fundraising program by offering a residual revenue program to the organizations that provided ongoing monthly or annual revenue from the sale. It also allowed organizations with local fundraisers to immediately explode to a national fundraiser, providing considerably more revenue.
Business Sales Incentive Industry
Created and developed a unique Sales closing incentive program which immediately increased company's sales by as much as 40% without having to spend days, weeks or months improving the sales representatives presentation or closing skills.
Wrote and sold my first book to major national book retailers, such as Barnes and Noble, Borders, Crown Books and also to online sites.
I have spoken to Thousands of people at training seminars, municipal venues, public forums, and medical conferences and have been used by a major Chicagoland newspaper as an expert to review information by a state department.
